Primary Presenter Bio: Suzanne Miyamoto, PhD, RN, FAAN is the Chief Policy Officer at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). With 15 years of policy and advocacy experience, Dr. Miyamoto serves on the senior leadership team while overseeing the association’s health policy, higher education policy, government affairs, diversity and inclusion, strategic outreach as well as research and analytics portfolios. Dr. Miyamoto is highly regarded for her expertise in health care and education policy as well as her leadership and successful development of advocacy-based coalitions. Currently, she is the Executive Director for the Nursing Community Coalition, which she has led since 2008. The Nursing Community Coalition includes 60 national nursing organizations that collaborate on a wide spectrum of health policy issues and is the largest nursing coalition focusing on federal advocacy.
