Session Description: Delays in discharge cause a backlog for admissions and transfers. In this quality improvement project the aim was to reduce the time to discharge thereby increasing satisfaction among patients, families and staff, in-addition to improving turnaround time for bed placement.
Primary Presenter Bio: A Doctoral prepared Pediatric Nurse with an extensive experience in the hospital setting of over 25 years and board certified. She has presented locally and nationally on pediatric topics throughout the east coast. A native from Lynchburg Va works at Centra Health on the inpatient pediatric unit and at Richeson Drive Pediatrics. She is also adjunct faculty for Liberty University’s DNP program.
