Session Description: Discover how a Surgical Processing Department changed their sterile processing and staff-related operational procedures by introducing a new instrument cleaning process. The result: safe, quick, and effective improvement in interprofessional collaboration and quality patient care.

Primary Presenter Bio: Judy Montello has been in the operating room at Children’s Hospital for 39 years. 26 years as the Assistant Manager for Perioperative Services and the last 13 years as Director of Perioperative Services. Judy is a diploma graduate from Charity Hospital school of nursing in 1979. She received her Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management in 1989 and presently pursuing a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration. This abstract has been presented as a poster presentation at OR manager national conference/AORN national conference/ and AAMI national conference.
