Target Audience: RNs: Pediatric Nurses
Description: This unique educational approach bridges the gap between classroom and clinical practice through the use of simulation. Students participated in 3 scenarios each week using high fidelity mannequins; 20 scenarios were chosen based on the most commonly identified disease states bringing children into the acute care clinical setting.
Outcome: Participants will better prepare undergraduate nursing students for clinical practice through integration of simulation and classroom experience.
Continuing Education: Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
